April Fools - did you really believe that ?!

Happy April Fool´s!

Or Loki´d, or however you wanna call it.

Remember the journal I made about giving up drawing?

…is it dawning on you yet?

Yes, that was an April Fool´s prank, and an extremely evil one, I reckon.

(Keep in mind I live in Europe; it was already April 1^st when I posted it, even though it might still have been March where you live).

I want to apologise to all of those who suffered major or minor heart attacks because of that statement, but just to clear things up:

I started drawing at a very young age. I used to stay at my grandparents house when my mother was working, and my grandma used to give me some paper and coloured pencils to draw with. It all started with those typical child drawings and spiralled into what you can see today. The talent seems to lie within the family: my grandfather on my mother´s side was a wonderful artist. We have an oil painting he did of magnolias in full bloom in our living room, as well as a few pieces he painted on glass. My cousin Chaosvin is also very talented and gifted when it comes to drawings; she was the person who encouraged me to get a dA in the first place.

I literally don´t leave the house without a pen/pencil and a piece of paper. Ask the folks that go to university with me: I draw all the time, even during lectures (it´s even worse when I bring my laptop with me…). Drawing is my passion, my first and greatest love, and even if I mostly post horses and fan art on my dA, I enjoy painting landscapes, people, buildings and plants almost as much. Drawing is like breathing to me. I can spend quite a while without drawing, but sooner or later I´ll end up doodling something. I enjoy it far too much. Getting me to stop drawing is like forcing a fish to stop swimming – almost impossible.

So don´t worry my lovelies; I´ll stay.

I was literally overwhelmed by the reactions my little prank caused. I would never have expected such a wave of sympathy and support coming towards me, be it on facebook, on deviantArt, or on tumblr. They say artists live solely on feedback and support, which in my case is true, as I don´t make a living by selling my drawings (which would be illegal with my fan arts anyways), and the feedback you people gave me was just…whoah.

Let it be known that I love you. Every. Single. One. Of. You.
